Although tennis didn’t stop for many of us over the winter holidays thanks to heated indoor tennis courts (or milder climes), the break in the professional tennis season meant there was a lull in the release of new tennis fashion. Being somewhat of a tennis fashionista, I have been eagerly awaiting the first Grand Slam of 2017 knowing that with it would come lots of new tennis outfits for me to obsess over. Hence, I have put together my favourite pieces that will be on the ‘court walk’ at the Australian Open 2017.
As I have spent a lot of this winter wearing monochrome tennis outfits, I am a big fan of the AusOpen tennis apparel that Nike has launched. I was never entirely convinced by the colours and cuts of Nike’s offerings in 2016, but I think this 2017 tennis dress that Serena Williams will be wearing ‘down under’ is a winner.

Nike’s promotional photos show Genie Bouchard in their latest short-sleeve crop top. Whilst I do wonder if she might be the only person that can get away with such a stomach-revealing look on a tennis court, I think it would look great on anyone with a high-waisted skirt/pair of leggings.

This winter I bought a pair of black and white adidas by Stella McCartney Barricade Boost tennis shoes. I have to say they are the most comfortable shoes I have ever played in. Therefore, the 2017 vibrant yellow pair that Caroline Wozniacki will be wearing is definitely on my wishlist.

Finally, I have selected the new adidas by Stella McCartney Barricade dress, which has such a flattering cut and flirty shape. I’m sure it will look spectacular on Garbiñe Muguruza when she wears it for her matches in Melbourne.
