How did you get into fitness and training?
I was never particularly over-weight, I was a curvy size 10 but I just felt so tired all the time and struggled with cellulite. I wasn’t eating well either! I would normally have a sugary cereal for breakfast, a sandwich and chocolate for lunch and a big pasta dish for dinner. I was always intimidated by the gym, so I avoided exercising! I was introduced to my amazing PT, Cecilia, and then began to fall in love with the way working out made me feel! I now have much more energy and have learned so much about nutrition and fitness.
What makes Beach Body program a great way to get fit?
Beach Body is the exact training I do to get ready for the summer or a holiday! Beach Body is a full body workout, including warm-up, arms, legs, abs, cardio and a cool down so no area is left untouched!
Do you find it easy to keep fit whilst on holiday?
You are on holiday, of course you are allowed to indulge in a few cocktails and ice creams! I think it is just about everything in moderation – join in with the watersports and go for a short run in the morning to keep on track! We also offer a free Eating Out Guide and Hotel Room Workout Guide with our Beach Body plans so I just make sure I take those with me too!
Which plan should we choose? Beach Body or Beach Body Plus?
It totally depends on your fitness levels! The Beach Body plan is a 6-week plan aimed at beginner to intermediate level and the Beach Body Plus is a 4-week plan for those that are a more intermediate to advanced with their fitness. Each plan comes with a nutrition plan too so you get the ultimate results!
What’s your opinion on the state of nutrition advice available to women?
I definitely think health and nutrition advice has improved! There are always lots of varying opinions so it is important that you know what works for you. Even though the awareness has increased it is still hard for people to find good advice and simple meals. We actually have a nutritionist in-house so she is always on hand to answer questions.
What are your favourite sportswear pieces and accessories to wear?
I absolutely love the new Ellesse range! There are some amazing summery colours that are perfect for working out and chilling out in. My favourite is the mint green colours!
