I’ve just returned from another incredible week of teaching at my Bloom Pilates retreat at Son Rullan in Deia, Mallorca. This was my 6th retreat in Mallorca, and each time I drive arrive at this gorgeous village on the west of the island, I’m taken aback by the beauty and serenity of the place.
All of the amazing women who came, whether to rest, relax, get fitter, eat well or simply take time out from stressful jobs, I’m sure would agree that it’d be hard not to enjoy a week in such incredible surroundings.
We hiked, we supped (paddle boarded FYI), we ate incredible vegan meals prepared by top holistic chef Nicola Orr, we Pilates’d twice a day, we had dreams workshops, reiki treatments, massage, facials, and most of all we relaxed. One of the main things people say they enjoy so much is the lack of decisions you’ll need to make once you arrive – the most challenging decision you’ll make is which treatment to choose, or which terrace to sit on while you soak up the sun!
The thing I love the most about running these retreats is that they bring together women from all walks of life, from aged 20 to aged 70, single women, married women, fit women, women who’ve never tried Pilates or those who are wanting to recover from injury or illness and yet despite these different backgrounds, by the end of the week, everyone has made lasting friends and has gained something unique and special from the experience.
I’m really looking forward to my retreat schedule for 2017 – including some exciting new retreats – we’ve got a return to the Pilates and wine weekends in the south of France for those of you who like a bit more balance (one glass in each hand?!), SUPilates retreats in Mexico and the south of France, Pilates and nutrition in Deia Mallorca and also some new UK weekend healthy breaks.
