A couple of months ago Gigi Hadid became an ambassador for Reebok and started a movement called #perfectnever, the campaign focuses on women and encourages them to embrace all their imperfections and to appreciate themselves as they are. Read all about it here!
Sometimes when celebs collaborate with a brand, they do one promotion and that’s it, Hadid on the other hand has fully embraced this collaboration and on the 7th December she started the next chapter in Reebok’s “Be More Human” movement. With a series of physically, mentally and socially empowering activities, Hadid had some special guests to accompany her with a panel discussion; Ruby Rose, Lena Dunham and Zoe Kravitz.
Be More Human – With Gigi Hadid & Reebok
The full day event started with an intense boxing workout where Gigi was joined by her long time trainer and owner of Gotham Gym, Rob Piela. Hadid sparred with her guests as well as leading a workout that inspired the women to be more strong and empowered.
Uniting women from different creeds and different walks of life, the #perfectnever campaign is to challenge the notion of ‘perfection’ and to embrace each other for who we are and not run away or hide from these ‘imperfections’. An inspirational panel discussion was to share and identify the high demands that women are expected to met.
“The reason that I started doing my job was to connect with other women, with other people, and to let them know that their flaws, their complexities and their darkness were an important part of who they are. So any time I can engage with something that bursts open narrative, traditional narratives, about who women are supposed to be, I’m there.”
“The #perfectnever campaign resonated with me because I think that it embodies female empowerment and it’s about being authentic to yourself, being true to yourself and being the best that you can be. We are all so unique and if you can’t be true to that and be authentic to who you were born to be, then you are not living the life you deserve.”

“The #perfectnever campaign is important to me because I think it’s something we don’t see enough in the world. I think it’s important for women to embrace the fact that were not perfect and celebrate that.”
“#perfectnever is such a strong and unifying message. Today was about bringing together women from all different places, from all different backgrounds and uniting them to challenge the notion of perfection. It was about inspiring and learning from each other, empowering one another. The workout was tough, but we got through it, and to sit on a panel with women who are so authentic, so open and so willing to change the narrative was such a special moment.”
Remember to stay strong, believe in yourself and stay true to who you are!
