Go exploring. Ditch your trashy novel and tear yourself away from the pool bar. Holidays are the perfect chance to explore a new environment. Roam through cobbled Mediterranean streets, or head to the hills for gorgeous views of the coastline. Walking or cycling is a great way to get your heart-rate going and take in the sights.
Just keep swimming. The beach isn’t just for showing off your new cut-out swimsuit – put your water-proof sun cream to the test and dive in! Swimming in the sea is a perfect full-body workout, and is sure to leave you feeling totally at peace as the warm waves lap over you.
Salute the sun. There’s nothing more relaxing than sunrise yoga with a view over the ocean. The plus side is that you can bagsy the best sun-loungers if you’re up at dawn!
Try something new. Holiday is the perfect time to break out of your treadmill comfort zone. Try something completely new to work your muscles in a totally different way. Volleyball on the beach is a great way to make new holiday pals.

- 1Ltr water bottles can be used as dumbbells – or fill them with sand for more weight.
- Resistance bands and mini-foam rollers are light and will fit in your case.
- Deflated yoga ball – fold it up small and you’re good to go!
- Yoga mat – it’s light-weight and perfect for carry-on luggage.
